Whether sailing, angling, diving or power boating the common ground is the iconic WA coast line, miles of aqua blue water and sandy beaches. The concept celebrates the solace found connecting with friends, family and kindred spirits amongst the wakes, waves, marine life and boating thrills.

Influenced by natural textures and colours of the local ocean environment. Exploring the visual wake that sea sports leave on the ocean and shore and intricate patterns formed by light, wave movement and boating activity. These observations served as the foundation for the works. Some of the concept utilised techniques for abstracting and simulating the textures in CAD programs which were then applied to physical samples created on the studio’s CAD/CAM equipment. This technique was then applied as 3D surface treatments to the anodised elements of the fence. The composition for both the ground treatment and fence have drawn on undulating and fluid patterns of the ocean, boat wakes and waves lapping on the shore.
