Vantage Apartment Public Art has been a consultative and collaborative process, working closely with Hillam architects to realise a collective vision for the precinct.

Concrete Facade at Ground Level: The façade treatment at Ground Level is a series of precast concrete panels with a dynamic textural patterning inspired by the water surface. A series of high-quality molds were fabricated on our cnc using ACM panel and industrial pvc. Using the cnc allowed for our linear imaging software generated pattern to be precisely replicated creating a relief pattern in the pre cast panels. These graphic elements work from a distance and up close.

Metal Screens at Ground and Level 1: Ground Level Building services and car parking bays on Riversdale Road are screened by specially designed metallic artwork. The screens pattern shares the same linear imaging design technique as the pre cast panels, with an added depth of form to the structure with subtle diagonal fold lines across the facade

Sculpture Element at Entry: A sophisticated suspended light sculpture welcomes visitors to the precinct, located in the entrance forecourt facing the street. The entry forecourt plays an important role strengthening the relationship with the surrounding streetscape. The suspended lighting sculpture embodies the fluid and organic nature of water, twisting and turning in a smooth cyclical motion.

Articulated Forecourt Finishes at Ground Level: A decorative art element was incorporated in the granite pavers of the forecourt entry, accentuating the buildings architectural language. The asymmetrical geometric pattern was informed by the buildings bold multi directional angles. As no two shapes were the same the entire pattern was water jet cut from 20mm granite slabs, a credit o the developers commitment to design detail.

Cantilevered seating: 2 benches cantilever above the custom paving, designed with an accurate assembly of steel reinforcement and cast in black concrete and finished withBurmese Teak. The mould was designed on our cad cam technology allowing us to refine the form while working within the restrictive cantilevered structural requirements.
